Letha Wilson cuts, tears and shapes her photographs, pushing and pulling the prints into place and then encases portions of the composition in cement. She adds a partial image transfer in the form of lines to the surface of the work extending over the frame. This geometric introduces a fragmented space and the layers creates additional perspective. The images show a variety of natural textures, from detailed, green close-ups that carefully reveal conifer’s twigs and the hudson hardwood forests in the background.
