"Obsession’s Unhealed Cut is my visual exploration of shattered memories and unresolved trauma. My childhood was marked by loss and separation—by the sudden death of my father and the forced separation from my mother due to patriarchal laws. Raised by my grandparents, I believed they were my biological parents until I accidentally discovered the truth. When I sought answers, I was met with silence and denial. Later, I was told that my mother had abandoned me—a narrative that left scars deeper than any wound.
This series is a reflection of those experiences, expressed through bold, striking imagery. These paintings do not tell a clear story; instead, they form an emotional dialogue with the past—one that remains unresolved and complex.
Rather than seeking resolution, my paintings create a space that allows the ongoing process of memory to unfold. Through these layered works, I explore the space between what is remembered, imagined, and forgotten—a space filled with uncertainty, where silence speaks louder than words. Through painting, I find a path toward healing, offering a way to confront and transform my past rather than leave it buried."
