What makes Galerie Christophe Gaillard remarkable is that it holds several archives of the historic artists it represents, particularly those of Michel Journiac and Daniel Pommereulle. These archives have been compiled, inventoried, digitised and promoted under the direction of Dr. Armance Léger, who heads the Research and Estates department. The gallery also has privileged access to the artists' heirs' archives, with whom it collaborates closely.

The gallery positions itself within the tradition of major French galleries and is committed to preserving and promoting their legacy. Since acquiring the remarkable fonds from Daniel Cordier in 2022, it has developed numerous projects around this archive. It is also currently focused on enhancing part of the fonds from Galerie Jean Fournier.

The Research & Estates department is available to welcome and support researchers who wish to deepen their knowledge of the works of artists represented by the Galerie Christophe Gaillard.
