Curator, author and editor, Jean-Pascal Léger directed the colloquium Tal Coat, Regards sans frontières at Cerisy in 2017 (after the colloquium Présence d'André du Bouchet (2011) and having studied "La Triade, André du Bouchet, Pierre Tal Coat, Henri Maldiney" within the colloquium À l'épreuve d'exister avec Henri Maldiney (2014)).

He has devoted numerous exhibitions to Tal Coat, including the retrospectives "Tal Coat, Peintures et dessins, 1946-1985" at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Mons (2011) and "Tal Coat, La liberté farouche de peindre" at the Musée Granet in Aix-en-Provence in 2017. The book L'Immobilité battante gathers his interviews with the artist (2007; 2017). Jean-Pascal Léger also published in 2017 the monograph Tal Coat, Pierreet front de bois (Somogy Editions).

 

Thomas Augais is a lecturer in 20th and 21st century literature at the Faculty of Letters of Paris Sorbonne University, member of the CELLF 19-21 (UMR 8599).

His research focuses on the relationship to reality in the dialogue between writers and artists in the 20th century. His publications include Alberto Giacometti et les écrivains, Paris, Classiques Garnier, 2017, and a critical edition of André du Bouchet's La Peinture n'a jamais existé, Le Bruit du Temps, 2017. He has prefaced Nicolas de Staël's Lettres 1926-1955 (Le Bruit du Temps, 2016) and Gérard Titus-Carmel's writings on literature (Écrits de chambre et d'échos, L'Atelier contemporain, 2019).
