        MAEVA DUBREZ

Maeva Dubrez is a photography historian based in Geneva, Switzerland. Her research focuses on the rehabilitation of women artists in the history of photography, offering new perspectives on their artistic approaches. She is particularly drawn to artists whose creative processes or the narratives of their works present enigmas to be unraveled. In 2023, she published Deborah Turbeville, Hidden under Layers in collaboration with the MUUS Collection, an in-depth study of the work of photographer Deborah Turbeville. She is currently working on several book projects, scheduled for completion between 2026 and 20267.

Convinced that acquisition is the most direct way to support photographic artists, Maeva Dubrez co-founded ACTWALL in September 2024. As the first non-profit Swiss platform dedicated to acquiring photographic works, ACTWALL aims to strengthen the essential connection between collectors and artists.

In parallel, Maeva Dubrez is a journalist for L’Œil de la photographie, where she covers the latest developments on the Swiss photography scene.
