In this discussion, we look at evolving expressions of femininity in fashion and photography. This event coincides with our current presentation of Deborah Turbeville’s work, which challenges traditional representations of gender and identity. Featuring artist and researcher Eugenie Shinkle and artist Max Barnett, and moderated by Lucrezia di Martino (Director of Partnerships, MUUS Collection) we look at the shifting visual language of femininity, examining themes of fluidity, transformation and disruption in visual culture.
