ISABELLE LE MINH

Some secrets on Photography, Musée Francisco Carolinum Linz

06.03.2026 – 12.07.2026

Photography helps us preserve memories and beautiful moments. Today, this is easier than ever, as every mobile phone has a built-in camera.
When, in 1826, the first photograph was exposed for eight hours on a tin plate coated with asphalt, no one could have imagined how natural and self-evident photography would one day become in our lives.

Six artists trace the marks of such potential secrets: Pascal Petignat, Martin Scholz, Peter Schreiner, Gregor Schmoll, Isabelle Le Minh and Sebastian Riemer.
All of them tell stories about photography and shed light on the unknown. The works on display are not always photographs themselves, but in an intelligent, beautiful and humorous way they are works about a medium whose 200th anniversary we are celebrating.
