Royan : Pierre-Yves Bohm expose son « monde aveugle » à l’Espace d’art contemporain

The painter, who hails from the north of France, has been given a solo exhibition
by the Centre d'arts plastiques, which Pierre-Yves Bohm has also opened to the work
of Muriel Kleinholtz

In Royan, Pierre-Yves Bohm had already taken part in two group exhibitions
organized by the Centre d'arts plastiques (CAP) at the Espace d'art contemporain,
“L'Inquiétante Étrangeté”, in 2021, and “L'Échelle”, in 2024. This spring
2025, the Centre d'arts plastiques is devoting a solo exhibition to the painter,
, entitled “Je traverse un monde aveugle et je peins” (“I cross a blind world and paint”).

Resolutely contemporary, Pierre-Yves Bohm's work nonetheless takes human beings
as its subject. “The human condition, not nature”, warns
exhibition curator Jean-Pascal Léger, who has allowed the painter to invite
with him, Muriel Kleinholtz, whose discovery of Bohm's work, confesses the latter
, has been “a driving force” in her own artistic development.

The exhibition will be on view from Saturday April 5 to June 9 at Espace
d'art contemporain, quai Amiral-Meyer, Tuesday to Sunday, 2:30 pm to
6:30 pm.
