Born in Iran in 1990, Soufia Erfanian lives and works between Berlin, Paris and Teheran.
She was the winner of the 2024 Collection Pinault residency, and was a resident at B.L.O. Ateliers in Berlin in 2021.
Her work has been shown in several group exhibitions, at Galerie Jousse Entreprise in Paris in 2025, at KINDL - Centre for Contemporary Art in Berlin in 2024, at the 17th Lyon Biennial and at the Musée d'Art Moderne et Contemporain in Saint-Étienne in 2024, at Fondation Fiminco in Romainville in 2023, and at CRÉDAC in 2022.
His work is part of several important public and private collections, including those of the Musée d'Art Moderne et Contemporain de Saint-Étienne, the Pinault Collection, the FRAC Sud, the Elia Mourtzanou Collection (HK), the Bettina Böttinger Collection (DE), the Kadist Collection (FR), the FRAC Île-de-France Collection, (FR), and the Beaux Arts de Gennevilliers Collection (FR).
