The Board of Trustees of the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation announced today their appointment of the 101st class of Guggenheim Fellows, including 223 distinguished individuals working across 55 disciplines, based on prior exceptional achievement and demonstrated potential for future accomplishment.
These fellowships are awarded to individuals who have shown remarkable capacity for productive scholarship or exceptional creative ability in the arts, along with a strong capacity to carry out independent work. The 2026 fellows reflect a broad diversity of practices, perspectives, and fields.
Cate Giordano is among the artists recognized in this year’s selection.
